Job Posting Information – Punch Press Lead

A Punch Press Lead, will verify safety, quality and production standards are followed. The lead will also assist in communication with Quality, PC, Supervisors, and HR on issues for the department.

Essential Role and Responsibilities:

Lead Responsibilities:

• Verify SPC charts and highlight any missing on incomplete checks
• Use productions notes to schedule production board
• LPA checklist completion, complete QF by the end of the week
• Check sides of belts going into furnace and assign to operators to clean if miscellaneous parts
• Walk through department observing the machines and area looking for broken or out of place items.
• Submit work requests if machine needs maintenance or repairs
• Spot check a machine to make sure machine checks where correct
• Train newly hired team members and current team members on updated QJIs
• All other responsibilities as assigned
• Run machines as a back up when someone is off

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Computer literate, along with effective communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to read & comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence & memos.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
• Must be able to regularly stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds regularly.
• Ability to actively participate in a fast paced, team environment.
• Basic computer skills.
