Objective: The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for the day to day management of the company’s Human Resource functions. This person must be bi-lingual in Spanish and support all company employees. This person will be current with all State and Federal laws to ensure that the company runs with operationally excellent standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Human Resources – The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for all the duties listed in the sections below. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- Know and help implement all aspects of company handbook and field all questions from staff.

Administer Company policies.
- Know all current labor code requirements and make sure company adheres to these codes.
- Administer all leave of absences.

Prepare and maintain all required reporting.

Partner with the Business Manager to resolve employee conflicts or conduct investigations.

Assists with all employee hiring.
-
Make certain all hiring, training, and termination procedures are followed, including back ground checks, immunizations with tracking, and drug testing.

Ensure that all employees complete all required training, know and understand their role, company rules, and any security procedures.

Proactively track sick days, personal time off for all full-time staff and make sure it follows company policy.

Make certain all employee files are organized and in compliance with State/Federal and company policy requirements.

Make certain all discipline policies, procedures, and documentation are completed properly.

Be knowledgeable of our Employee Benefits Program.

Assist with payroll processing for all companies when required.

Manage all Workers Compensation claims and Modified Duty Programs.

Oversee our Plus One Employer Program.

Assist Management with various HR projects
Administration
-
Ensure that all employees complete all required training, know and understand company rules, security procedures, and proper chemical usage.

Demonstrates good two-way communication skills with other team members.

Develop positive rapport with all staff treating all with dignity and respect.

Keep desk area, files, and binders organized

Be mindful of all costs and any budgets with an eye on lowering the cost of doing business effectively.

Answer phones when necessary and make sure all staff answers phone clearly, professionally, and by the third ring.

Assist management with various administration projects.
Payroll
- Assist with twice-monthly payroll.

Process any withholding notices.
- Answer Phones / File / Process Employee Applications.
Standards of Performance:
The HR Generalist will have satisfactorily completed the above responsibilities when:
Administrative Standards-
All assigned tasks are completed timely, accurately, and to the approval of assignor.

Qualification and Requirements:

2 years of Human Resources experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.

Bi-lingual in Spanish/English.
-
Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws.
Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
