BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist, that will also support recruiting activities, located at our White Oaks General Office Building in Bridgeport, WV or at our office Headquarters located in Richmond, VA.
- This role responds to inquiries from management and employees on human resources issues to ensure company and business unit programs policies and procedures are administered in a consistent and legal manner.
- Provides recruiting support for an assigned area of the organization and partners closely with field HR and business leadership to develop and execute a cost-effective recruiting strategy that is consistent with business goals.
- Meets with management to understand their staffing needs business issues and job requirements.
- Ensures that all recruitment and selection efforts are consistent with all relevant policies and are fully compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
- Sources, evaluates, and screens candidates, schedules interviews, and testing.
- Ensures the maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports.
- Coordinates administration of human resource programs.
- Conducts investigations and ensures fair, equitable and consistent treatment of employees; facilitates change management and problem resolution.
- Counsels hiring managers on issues such as recruiting trends industry best practice and diversity.
- Facilitates pre-employment testing processes and administration of relocation policy.
- 3 years directly related knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge of performance management, employee relations, pay and staffing trends and practices, recruiting techniques, employment policies and procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Knowledge of company organizational structures.
- Knowledge of company policies, programs, procedures, and relevant government regulations.
- Planning and organizational skills.
- Proficient personal computer skills and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft applications and applicant tracking system.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
Education
Bachelor (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
