Job Summary:
Coach USA, Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist in our Gillette, Wyoming location. This position reports to the General Manager and is primarily responsible for full cycle recruiting including screening, testing, and interviewing candidates for all local positions. Recruiting methods to include traditional and creative resourcing as needed to fill all open positions. This position provides direction and recommendations to all staff based on Coach USA policies and procedures, as well as best practices, employee engagement and retention.
Essential Functions:
- Identifies employee relations issues and resolves appropriately with limited supervision
- Provides HR advice to management and responds to employee inquiries
- Maintains an HR presence in assigned facilities by engaging all levels of employees
- Administration of disciplinary actions, LOA and return to work procedures as well as other State and Federal Requirements
- Leads the development and execution of the recruitment strategies while managing costs to budget and attending recruitment activities and outreach events
- Analyzes data metrics to determine hiring needs
- Analyzes data and provides recommendations to management for improvement initiatives
- Manages current candidate activity in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Follows up with candidates to ensure updated information on the interview process status
- Uses traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates such as career fairs, community network events, etc.
- Ensures new employees are on-boarded effectively
- Effectively communicates HR related training and policies
- Participates in Operations’, Maintenance and Safety staff meetings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex HR policies
- Works with General Manager to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations including but not limited to; FMLA, FLSA, ADA, Affirmative Action Plan, Families first and other programs needed for compliance
- Maintains personal files in compliance with applicable legal and corporate requirements
- Process new hires, employee status changes and terminations in real time in provided employment systems as well as other systems that are provided
- Completes required month-end duties including hospitalization and 401k remittance as well as benefit confirmation for new hires and life changes, for employees.
Required Skills:
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel
- Ability to work cross functionally across various HR disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to interact with employees
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex HR policies
- PHR certification a plus
- ADP experience a plus
- Labor law/union experience a plus
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-5 years of HR experience
