    The Human Resources Manager will report to the National Grid Ventures US Lead HR Business Partner.  The purpose of the role is to lead and execute HR practices and objectives that provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture through the effective administration of employee relations, training and development, compensation, organizational development, and policy development.

    Key Responsibilities: 
    • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, and succession planning. 
    • Provides support and guidance to HR Specialist, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. 
    • Partners with National Grid compensation COE to analyzes trends in compensation; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
    • In partnership with National Grid’s COE, creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees. 
    • In partnership with National Grid DEI COE, supports DEI strategy and plan to foster an inclusive and equitable culture.
    • Ensure employees and managers follow all HR related policies and procedures. Additionally, suggest changes based on employee and company needs
    • Oversee exit interviews and procedures
    • When needed, support recruiting efforts to attract top talent

    Required skills and professional experience:
    • Collaborative Skills – communication, listening
    • Degree in Business, Human Resources or similar preferred
    • HR certification preferred
    • 5 years minimum experience in a broad range of HR functions
    • Strong computer skills and experience with office management and communication software
    • Ability to understand statistical data and mathematical concepts and how to apply them to HR processes
    • Excellent leadership, training, and developmental skills
    • Strong decision-making skills
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Expert in labor laws set by governing authorities and organizations
    • Ability to comprehend complex language, theories, and methodologies
    • Time management and organizational skills
