    River Oaks Hospital, located in metropolitan New Orleans, Louisiana, is a private psychiatric facility for adults, adolescents and children. Since 1970, River Oaks has established a tradition of excellence in the treatment of acute psychiatric illness, dual diagnosis, alcohol and drug detoxification, trauma based disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders, River Oaks has provided quality treatment to service individuals suffering from mental illness, and/or addictive disorders. Situated on a 14-acre campus, services are available at all levels of care (inpatient, day or partial hospitalization, outpatient, and intensive outpatient).

     

    River Oaks Hospital is looking for a dynamic Human Resource Generalist to coordinate and provide administrative support in various human resources functions. Provide guidance to employees on Human Resources matters. Assist with various stages of the employment process and maintenance of the HRIS system. Maintain personnel files to meet regulatory compliance. Handle multiple priorities within appropriate task deadlines. Maintain confidentiality of personnel information. Perform duties in accordance with company mission, values, and behavioral standards.     Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years Human Resources office experience required. HR experience with regulatory compliance in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field, or equivalent years of Human Resources experience required.
    • Licensure/Certification: Human Resources certification preferred
    • Working Knowledge of employment laws such as: FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and unemployment standards. Progressive discipline, interpersonal dynamics, conflict mediation, employee relations, recruitment, HRIS/payroll, and benefits administration required.
    • Must be able to communicate successfully, both orally and written, to a variety of internal and external customers, while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor. Must have strong presentation skills.
    • Ability to clearly speak, write and understand verbal and written English. Selected skills/credentials as defined by the department’s scope of services.
    • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
    • Previous experience in a psychiatric hospital or related human service field preferred
