    Job Title: Transportation
    This candidate is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of residents to and from
    their appointments, errands, and other activities. As a member of the community’s support staff, the
    Transportation Staff plays a vital role in ensuring that residents are able to maintain their independence
    and continue to engage with the community. Above all, you will exhibit a passion for serving seniors
    while contributing to the positive environment our residents are proud to call home.

    Responsibilities:
    • Provide safe and timely transportation for residents to and from appointments, errands, and other
    activities, as needed;
    • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the transportation vehicle(s);
    • Assist residents with getting in and out of the transportation vehicle, as needed;
    • Ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation related to transportation is completed
    accurately and in a timely manner;
    • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with residents, their families, and
    staff;
    • Notify the appropriate staff members of any concerns related to the transportation of residents;
    • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on the transportation vehicle(s), as required;
    • Communicate effectively with residents and staff to ensure that transportation needs are being met;
    • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to the transportation of residents;
    • Seek out and perform other duties as assigned or needed;
    • Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA policies;
    • Understands the mission of Homeplace is to ensure quality care and services are being delivered to
    ensure each day is the best day possible.
    • Assist with maintenance such as but not limited to janitorial tasks, grounds keeping, preventative
    maintenance, room refurbish and repairs, etc.
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
    • Previous experience working in transportation or a related field is preferred.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families, and staff.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings and weekends.
    • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
