Public Transportation Inspector inspects and compiles information concerning activities and conduct of employees on public railroads, streetcars, and buses and submits written reports of findings. POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinates safe transportation of hospitalized patients to and from their residences/appointments as well as meal pick up if applicable. Also provides assistance to mental health services staff for patient care activities. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the transporting of patients to and from the facility site, assistance in the overall day-to-day functioning of the program including aiding other staff in patient chart production, meal provision, answering telephones and supervision of patients during staff break periods. The Transportation employee is responsible for communicating to staff any problematic or clinical issues that occur during his/her supervision of or transportation of patients.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: High School Diploma
License: Current Motor Vehicle License with clean MVR
Experience: Minimum experience of transporting patients in a 10-12 passenger van or similar type of vehicle. 1-2 years experience preferred.
