Public School Teacher jobs in Somerset, NJ

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the curriculum
- Teach high school students in various subjects, including discrete math, microbiology, genetics, and special education
- Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and academic growth
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students
- Conduct research in a laboratory setting to enhance teaching methods and curriculum
- Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license
- Experience working with high school students in a classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of the subjects being taught
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
