Develops and implements grade appropriate course work, activities, and assessments to meet the academic needs of children in a K-12 classroom setting. Being a Public School Teacher evaluates and monitors student's performance. Assesses and documents students' progress. Additionally, Public School Teacher participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require specific state-level teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Public School Teacher occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Montessori Community school is seeking an A to I trained (or in training) Lead to join our school community! We are a team of dedicated Montessorians guiding children ages 6 weeks through kindergarten. We have one Nido, two Toddler and three Primary classes.
Our school is AMI recognized and located in beautiful Santa Cruz County California, close to beaches and surrounded by redwoods.
Salary range is $50,000- $60,000 starting (BOE) and guides get a guaranteed 6% increase each year.
We are looking for a long-term, dedicated Guide, who will take on a leadership role in our community. Start date is any time from June to August 19.
