Job Title: K-2 Classroom Teacher: Blue Point School

Date Available: August 2022

Description: This classroom teaching position will be in one of our K-2 classrooms at Blue Point School. Responsibilities will include; delivering guaranteed and viable curriculum to all students; meeting the social and emotional needs of students; maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment. Collaboration and teamwork are integral parts of the job in order to meet the needs of all students. Experience or knowledge of Math In Focus and Units of Study in Reading and Writing are preferred. Professional development and ongoing support is available through an instructional coach model for teachers new to the district.

Qualifications: Maine Certification for K-8 classroom teacher, CHRC. Experience with planning, delivering, and assessing elementary school curricula. A strong understanding of and appreciation for the developmental and social emotional needs of K-2 students. Experience with Google Suite and classroom technology.
