Public Relations Specialist jobs in Greenville, SC

The Community Relations Specialist plays a crucial role in forming long lasting partnerships with organizations that are in line with our mission of ensuring our nation’s students succeed. The partnerships may often culminate in  financial donations, tech device donations, and volunteer support. This position is also responsible for ensuring environmental and sustainability initiatives are created in alignment with the organization’s PBC mission.

While no day will be completely the same, you will execute daily responsibilities in these various functions:

 

• Seek out donation and volunteer opportunities in alignment with PBC vision
• Receive and evaluate donation requests based on the organization's mission and goals
• Coordinate and facilitate the donation process, from request evaluation to final delivery
• Work cross departmentally with the Purchasing and Success teams to ensure seamless donation delivery
• Maintain communication with community organizations with whom we have established partnerships  
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure the organization’s PBC mission is branded appropriately across marketing channels 
• Establish professional connections within the community such, as chambers of commerce, and represent Vivacity Tech at events by participating in professional networking
• Strengthen knowledge of the organizations in order to be proactive/reactive to the changing needs
• Analyze all community donations for impact and opportunities for additional involvement 
• Manage administrative tasks including budget and correspondence
• Build employee volunteerism in the community 
• Develop and implement sustainability programs aligned with the organization's PBC objectives
• Research and recommend eco-friendly practices and initiatives to minimize the environmental impact
• Monitor and report on the progress and success of sustainability initiatives
• Improve and re-evaluate internal public benefit processes

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Extremely proficient with Google Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software
• Ability to work independently

Education & Experience 

• Minimum 1 years relevant experience required
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
