  • General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Director of Marketing/Director of Public Relations works as part of the senior management team. The Director of Marketing/Director of Public Relations is tasked with promoting and increasing awareness of the clinic, its programs, and healthcare professionals. This individual will work with clinic administration to develop messaging and communications strategies, to refine those messages, and to promote those messages across multiple media platforms, including broadcast, print, web and social media.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Web Development and Maintenance

    ● Updating, refining and redesigning the site as needed

    ● Posting content on a regular basis

    ● Optimizing for SEO

    ● Reviewing analytics to make data-driven decisions

    Suggested: Updating FHC logo

    Social Media

    ● Evaluating existing social media channels and efforts

    ● Posting content on a regular basis (text, images, video)

    ● Engaging with followers online

    ● Developing and executing social media ad buys (as needed)

    Publications

    ● Developing, designing and producing print materials (brochures, flyers, posters) aligned with strategy

    ● Tracking performance of print materials

    ● Identifying distribution points that optimize engagement

    Print Media/Public Relations

    ● Writing and distributing press releases

    ● Identifying strategic print media that reaches target audiences

    ● Developing and providing value-added content (earned media)

    ● Recommending strategic ad-buys

    ● Developing and providing artwork for ads

    Broadcast Media

    ● Writing and distributing press releases

    ● Developing and cultivating relationships with strategic media targets

    ● Developing, writing, recording and producing radio-ready commercials for local stations

    ● Developing, writing, shooting and editing broadcast-ready commercials for TV (as needed)

    ● Developing, writing, shooting and producing content for social media and website

    ● Developing and executing strategic ad buys for maximum impact

    Email Marketing

    ● Evaluating existing email subscription list and strategy

    ● Developing and executing strategy to create marketing “funnels” to attract new patients

    ● Launching, measuring and evaluating campaigns to improve results

    Reporting Relationship:

    The Director of Marketing/Director of Public Relations reports to, is supervised by, and evaluated by the Chief Operating Officer.

    Evaluation:

    The evaluation of work performance will be ongoing and will be carried out by the Chief Operating Officer. It will include the Essential Duties and Responsibilities of this Position Description, as well as employee attitude and general working behavior. Formal evaluation will be performed annually, but may be initiated at other times by the Director of Marketing/Director of Public Relations or Chief Operating Officer.

    Qualifications:

    1. A Bachelor’s degree in business management, public administration, or marketing with one to two years related experience and/or training in health care management

    2. Experience with the operational aspects of federally supported community health centers.

    3. Must have typing skills/computer skills and be able to type at least 40 words per minute.

    4. Exhibit sound and accurate judgment, while providing clear reasoning for decisions.

    5. The ability to be deliberate in those situations that seem to demand haste.

    6. Respect for confidentiality and privacy.

    7. The ability to write reports and business correspondence.

    8. The ability to effectively present information and respond to common inquiries or complaints from management, non-supervisory staff, and the like.

    9. The ability to relate to the patients of Family Health Center, Inc. with warmth and compassion.

    Salary:

    The salary for this position is determined by the Chief Executive Officer in accordance with the policies and procedures adopted by the Board of Directors, and with consideration for the unique qualifications of the candidate.

    Pay: $33,280.00 - $45,000.00 per year
