Public Relations Director directs and implements a company's public relations strategies. Manages media relations, announcements, editorial placement, and speaking opportunities. Being a Public Relations Director evaluates and authorizes all forms of communication regarding the organization for release to the public. Develops press releases, white papers and supporting materials. Additionally, Public Relations Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Public Relations Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Public Relations Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Secretary (Superintendent/School Board): To assure the smooth and efficient operations of the Superintendent’s office and Board processes and procedures for maximum positive impact on the education of students.
Public Relations: To implement the district’s communication plans and strategies to continually enhance the relationship between the district and staff, students, parents, and community by providing consistent, reliable, timely and engaging information via a variety of outreach methods.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year established by NBCSD School Board
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
