Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Consultant for our Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will work as part of a team to help our clients solve challenging technical problems which are often urgent, high profile, and multi-disciplinary. You will be involved in a variety of projects with applications such as consumer electronics, medical devices, automobiles, and military systems. You will have the opportunity to define and shape your individual consulting practice based on your skills and interests.

You will be responsible for

• Performing hands-on testing and analysis of electrical and electronic devices and systems
• Reviewing designs and technical documentation to evaluate safety and performance risks
• Establishing yourself as a technical expert in one or more areas pertaining to electrical and/or electronic systems
• Preparing technical proposals and pursuing business development opportunities

You will have the following skills and qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Hands-on experience with equipment used in the testing, fabrication, or microscopy of electrical or electronic systems
• Background in automotive electrical systems preferred
• Ability to work quickly and effectively toward resolving new types of problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language including the ability to produce professional technical reports for our clients with minimal corrections (spelling, grammar, etc.). 
• Ability to clearly convey technical information to clients of various backgrounds
