Psychologist - Ph.D evaluates patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, and determines the appropriate course of treatment for the patient. Being a Psychologist - Ph.D uses talk therapy to treat patient illness or distress, cannot prescribe medication. Requires a PhD in clinical psychology. Additionally, Psychologist - Ph.D requires a valid state license to practice. Typically reports to a medical director. The Psychologist - Ph.D works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.     We are hiring a Clinical Psychologist to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam in Franconia, NH.

    • Employment Status: Part-Time
    • Compensation: This is a hourly position, paid bi-weekly.
    • Schedule: 1 day per week, Mondays from 8am-4pm

    Requirements: The Clinical Psychologist must have and meet the following:

    • Hold a Ph.D. or PsyD, with a major in Psychology, from a doctorate or post-doctorate APA-Accredited Program.
    • Actively hold valid and unrestricted licensure as a psychologist.
    • Have or obtain an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

    Clinical Psychologist Job Summary:

    • Review pertinent mental health history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment behavioral health compensation and pensions exams for Veterans.
    • The Clinical Psychologist will capture responses during the exam through a web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
    • Common reasons for assessment are PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
