Psychologist - M.A. jobs in New Mexico
Psychologist - M.A. evaluates patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, and determines the appropriate course of treatment for the patient. Being a Psychologist - M.A. uses talk therapy to treat patient illness or distress, cannot prescribe medication. Requires a master's degree in clinical psychology. Additionally, Psychologist - M.A. requires a valid state license to practice. Typically reports to a medical director. The Psychologist - M.A. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Psychologist - M.A. typically requires 7+ years of related experience. As a Psychologist in the military medical system, you can expect to focus on patient care and outcomesSpectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a civilian Clinical Psychologist at Cannon Air Force Base, in Clovis, New Mexico.
Position Highlights:- Conduct Psychological testing
Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups, help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries
Monday thru Friday (Telework is an option)
This fully insured patient population is deeply appreciative of the care they receive
Individual, family and group psychotherapy, and couples therapy alcohol and drug treatment evaluation
Required:- Any active state license accepted
- APA internship
- Two years experience as a Licensed Psychologist
- Board certification by the American board of Psychology
