Psychologist - M.A. evaluates patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, and determines the appropriate course of treatment for the patient. Being a Psychologist - M.A. uses talk therapy to treat patient illness or distress, cannot prescribe medication. Requires a master's degree in clinical psychology. Additionally, Psychologist - M.A. requires a valid state license to practice. Typically reports to a medical director. The Psychologist - M.A. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Psychologist - M.A. typically requires 7+ years of related experience. Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Psychologist at the Mental Health Makalapa Naval Health Clinic, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. This contract position offers:
- Full Time
- Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm
- No Nights, Holidays or Weekends

Job Requirements:
The Psychologist will have the following requirements:
- Doctorate in clinical or counseling Psychology from an APA accredited program
- Completed an APA accredited internship in psychology
- Any state license
- Minimum one year of experience as a licensed psychologist
- BLS
- Possess either, a one year fellowship or residency in health psychology or behavioral medicine, or one year of experience in the last four years in the evaluation and treatment of patients who have pain, psychological factors affecting their physical condition, or difficulty coping with medical problems.
