Psychological Services Director directs and coordinates the policies, objectives, initiatives, and programs for the delivery of psychological services to patients. Oversees the treatment of patients with emotional, mental, and or psychological disorders. Being a Psychological Services Director ensures the psychological division follows regulatory compliance requirements and standard procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Psychological Services Director typically reports to top management. The Psychological Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. The position will provide individual and group counseling, consultation with faculty and staff, outreach and liaison services, crisis intervention, psychological assessment, and have an active involvement in all training programs and educational activities. Counseling and Psychological Services clinicians are strong generalists in the areas of solution-focused clinical work, group treatment, and outreach/education/community engagement work, all within a college student mental health setting.
