Position Overview:

As a Part-Time Psychiatrist, our client is looking for an individual with substantial experience in behavioral health. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering specialized care to a diverse patient base, contributing significantly to the improvement of mental health and overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments, with a strong focus on behavioral health considerations
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, emphasizing behavioral health interventions
- Prescribe and manage medications tailored to behavioral health needs
- Collaborate closely with therapists, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, particularly related to behavioral health assessments
- Actively participate in team meetings and case conferences, providing insights from a behavioral health perspective
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in behavioral health treatments and therapies

Qualifications:

- Doctor of Medicine (MD)
- Board certification in Psychiatry, with a focus on behavioral health
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of North Carolina
- DEA registration for controlled substances
- Proven experience in psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment, specifically within the realm of behavioral health
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on collaboration in a team-oriented environment
