The Portage Public Schools are located in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, halfway between Detroit and Chicago along I-94. The city is 35.
2 square miles in size and has a population of just over 49,000. We pride ourselves on excellence in academics and extracurricular activities.
Within the district are two traditional high schools and one alternative high school, three (3) middle schools, and eight (8) elementary schools, serving about 8,600 students.
