About the job Infrastructure Solutions consist of Solution Architects and Specialists responsible for the governance, solution design, development, management and operations of key IT infrastructure platforms thar are required to deliver global business services in Alfa Laval, such as Computing & Storage, Network, Client, Virtualization, and Identity & Access Management. As a Network Specialist you will: · Work in close collaboration with the Network Solution Architect and the other network specialists in Sweden and India, to design, configure, and maintain Cisco network hardware and software components including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. · Execute projects and tasks as assigned by the Network Solution Architect, that can range from both physical installations and configurations to solution design of a new network. · Implement and enforce security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches. · Evaluate new technologies and recommend upgrades or enhancements to improve efficiency and performance. · Collaborate with the wider support & operations organization, coordinate with Local IT, and provide 3rd level specialist support. Who you are To succeed in this role, you enjoy a high paced and varied workday, and are comfortable working within a large global organization. You are curious and eager to learn, communicative, solution oriented, and a team player. What you know You have a relevant technical background and at least 5 years of work experience in this field. You have experience in Cisco Network or similar, and know how to plan, maintain, and document a network as well as how to configure network components.
