    Job Description:

    How a Network Specialist will make an impact:



    • Review existing and proposed network architectures to ensure fit for purpose for DLA.

    • Provides ongoing support for the functionality and efficiency of computer networks (LAN/WAN).

    • Designs, installs, maintains, and coordinates the use of network systems.

    • Monitors and manages data traffic/network performance and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission.

    • Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network. Enforces security policies.

    • Configure network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls.

    • Define VLANs across the OT network to maximize security and performance.

    • Prepare for and conduct activities in compliance with Federal Guidelines

    • Create complete, reliable, and trustworthy information on the network and associated equipment, including network drawings.

    • Identify network weaknesses and deficiencies.

    • Identifying and documenting hardware and software version, including firmware versions.

    • Write programs according to specifications, which may be provided by Engineers, technical architects, or other computer scientists.

    • Update, repair, modify and expand existing computer programs Level 1 performs more routine aspects of position and is supervised by higher levels.
