  • Position Summary

    Provide High Level support for Customers, Field Service Technicians, and Sales, to ensure the stable operation of customer equipment (hardware and software). This includes installing, configuring, integrating, supporting, and optimizing all Washington Security Solutions supported products, technology, and applications. Including, end user training. This role will interface directly with customers, lower level field service staff, sales staff, and various levels of management in an effort to resolve all install, configuration, and operational issues.  As a Security Integration & Network Specialist position, travel to customer sites, remote offices and other various locations will be required.

    Pay Range: $30 - $ 55 per hr. plus potential profit share.

    Responsibilities
    • Design, install, configure, and support both IP and analog based security systems, including: access control, video management, intrusion detection and mass communication systems;
    • Design, install, configure, and support IP based networks, communication systems, and other various infrastructures;
    • Provide integration services between building systems, using programming, scripting, and standard protocols;
    • Perform contracted monitoring and analysis to ensure optimization of customer investments;
    • Prepares system designs as specified, using established LONG standards, while ensuring that equipment manufacturer recommendations are not compromised;
    • Prepares system documentation for the submittal process, disseminates information as required;
    • Receives information related to project as built documentation and prepare final Quote As Built Quote system drawings;
    • Provide technical support for customers, co-workers, and other LONG business units;
    • Design, install, troubleshoot, and document low voltage systems;
    • Attends construction meetings as required for individual projects;
    • Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures;
    • Obtain and retain knowledge of current technologies in order to provide proficient and innovative expertise to our customers;
    • Provide excellent customer service.
    • Attend and perform training functions as necessary
    • Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned by management

    Required Qualifications

    • 4 year technical degree or 2 year tech school and 3 years of networking systems experience or 5 years? experience with IP based networking and electronic security systems required;
    • Places a high value on quality of workmanship, attention to detail and safe work practices for self and others;
    • Knowledge of basic electricity such as AC/DC theory, ohms law, ability to read and understand a digital volt/ohm meter;
    • Valid state Driver's License

    Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    • Advanced knowledge of IP based security systems;
    • Advanced knowledge of IP based and electronic communication systems;
    • Advanced knowledge of network and computer operating systems;
    • Advanced knowledge of internetworking devices, techniques, operating systems, and protocols;
    • Advanced knowledge of programming, scripting, and integration protocols;
    • Strong customer service skills;
    • Exceptional troubleshooting skills;
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
    • Demonstrated ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications;
    • Working knowledge of computer drafting software, word processors and spreadsheets;
    • Highly self-motivated and able to perform through self-direction;
