Participates in the negotiation of contracts and prepares reports and analysis of contract details and statistics. Being a Provider Network Specialist distributes contract information, status updates, and other information within the organization. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Provider Network Specialist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Position Summary:
As a Fiber and Data Line Technician, this position will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic and data communication systems. The primary focus will be ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of these systems, supporting the seamless flow of data within and between various networks. This position will also be a backup for other functions within the department

Training: As there is no formal training course within ITS, most training will be OTJ (on the job). The Communications Services Director will identify the individual’s knowledge areas, and will direct additional direction for areas that may need improvement or additional education, in effort to improve performance
Preferred Qualifications:
Possess a valid Driver's License
Experience working with network monitoring tools
Two to three (2-3) years of experience in Network Administration
Two to three (2-3) years of experience working with networking equipment, specifically, including maintenance and upgrades
Minimum Qualifications:
An earned Bachelor's Degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of the Qualifications Review Committee
