Provider Contracting Manager jobs in Ohio

Provider Contracting Manager manages the activities of the contracting staff that prepare and maintain contracts and the contracts database system for a health plan network. Responsible for negotiating with facilities joining the health network and setting rates. Being a Provider Contracting Manager oversees network reporting requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, and to produce accurate and relevant reporting of data. Trains and develops staff. Additionally, Provider Contracting Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Provider Contracting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Provider Contracting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Senior Provider Contracting Professional initiates, negotiates, and executes physician, hospital, and/or other provider contracts and agreements for Humana's Behavioral Health organization. The Senior Provider Contracting Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

    The Senior Provider Contracting Professional communicates contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to providers. Analyzes financial impact of contracts and terms. Maintains contracts and documentation within a tracking system. May assist with identifying and recruiting providers based on network composition and needs. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

    Required Qualifications

    • 3 or more years of progressive network management experience including hospital contracting and network administration in a healthcare company
    • Experienced in negotiating behavioral health managed care contracts with large physician groups, ancillary providers and hospital systems.
    • Proficiency in analyzing, understanding and communicating financial impact of contract terms, payment structures and reimbursement rates to providers.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications
    • Must live in the State of Ohio

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Experience with Medicaid contracts
    • Experience with ACO/Risk Contracting
    • Experience with Value Based Contracting

    This role is "remote/work at home", however, you must live/work in the State of Ohio to be considered for this opportunity.

    Pay Range

    The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


     

    $76,800 - $105,800 per year


     

    This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
