Provider Contracting Manager manages the activities of the contracting staff that prepare and maintain contracts and the contracts database system for a health plan network. Responsible for negotiating with facilities joining the health network and setting rates. Being a Provider Contracting Manager oversees network reporting requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, and to produce accurate and relevant reporting of data. Trains and develops staff. Additionally, Provider Contracting Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Provider Contracting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Provider Contracting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in large scale commercial or industrial project management, including at least 3 years of management level safety profession experience. Current certification in CPR and OSHA 30-hour construction safety and industry standards required.

    What we expect… (Essential Functions)

    · Works hand in hand with site management team focusing on maintaining a safe workplace and

    establishing policies and procedures for other workers.

    · Conducts safety meeting, audits, and implement follow up assessments.

    · Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.

    · Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.

    · Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.

    · Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plane and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.

    · Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.

    · Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.

    · Provides technical support to project manager team.

    · Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.

    While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities include accurate near and distant vision.

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. The team member is occasionally exposed to high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and/or heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. The noise level is generally moderate to loud. Overtime may be required.
