Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor oversees activities of the property/casualty underwriting department. Provides supervision for a group of underwriters who review, analyze and inspect property/casualty insurance contracts, which includes accident insurance, crime insurance, loss of property insurance. Being a Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor experienced in risk management and complex applications. Analyzes various rate plans utilizing a company's claims history to determine the appropriate rate plan and benefits costs. Additionally, Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor may assist with analysis of large accounts. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically requires certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. As a territory sales representative, you'll travel to independent agencies within your territory to assist with managing, upselling, and obtaining referrals. You’ll meet in-person to influence agencies to market Progressive services and products, while also providing marketing strategies. Additionally, you’ll prospect for new agencies in the territory. You’ll be provided a company vehicle, phone, laptop, and company card.
Territory:Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex County, New London, and surrounding communities. Candidates must be able to travel to meet with agencies within this geographic area. There is overnight travel with this position (approximately 2-4 nights per month).
Home office location:Must reside in Fairfield or New Haven, and surrounding communities.
