Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our properties. The Property Manager will be responsible for managing tenant relations, coordinating maintenance and repairs, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards
- Address tenant inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate and oversee property maintenance and repairs, working closely with contractors and vendors
- Advertise available units, screen potential tenants, and facilitate the leasing process
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including Fair Housing laws
- Maintain accurate records of property income and expenses
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance activities
- Administer Section 8 housing programs, if applicable
- Assist with legal administrative tasks related to property management, such as preparing lease agreements and eviction notices
- Perform data entry tasks to update tenant information and financial records
Requirements:
- Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and other relevant laws is required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
