Property Casualty Underwriting Director directs and oversees the property/casualty insurance underwriting program for individuals and/or groups. Ensures the quality and integrity of underwriting activities and processes. Being a Property Casualty Underwriting Director develops guidelines and procedures regarding risk exposure, application renewal, acceptance, modification, and denial. Manages staff of property/casualty underwriters at the organization. Additionally, Property Casualty Underwriting Director provides assistance to underwriters on more complex applications. Has extensive knowledge of the underwriting discipline. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Typically reports to top management. The Property Casualty Underwriting Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Property Casualty Underwriting Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Summary:

    SUMMARY: Under the supervision and direction of the assigned manager, the Property Manager oversees the maintenance, and general property management needs of the local bank. The incumbent may serve as the Local Project Representative (LPR) as determined by local bank management. The Regional Property Manager supervises two or more direct reports.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Oversee the physical maintenance of the branches to ensure an attractive, functional, and well maintained appearance to the communities being served.
    • Maintain local bank Business Continuity Plans.
    • Serve as a liaison to Group Purchasing, Accounts Payable and bank group Contract Review Specialist.
    • Serve as the LPR for major remodel or new building projects. Work with local governments to obtain necessary approvals. Incumbent serves as liaison between local bank management and central architecture department to ensure projects are completed to local bank satisfaction and within budget and building guidelines as provided by central architecture department.
    • Serve as the contact for local vendors. Ensure quality of service and expense control.
    • Serve as the contact for tenants and leased properties to include maintenance needs.
    • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

    TEAM ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Cross-sell other services of the bank.
    • Support and uphold the Arvest Mission Statement.
    • Uphold the Arvest Code of Ethics and ensure that confidential information is safeguarded.
    • Maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with all associates in order to ensure accurate and efficient operations and service.
    • Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improve profitability and efficiency for the bank's overall operation.
    • Foster and promote the proper bank image at all times.
    • Maintain involvement in community affairs to foster and promote the proper bank image at all times.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Directly supervises two or more associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest’s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Associates Degree or equivalent related experience required
    • Five (5) years previous experience in property management required.
    • General knowledge of Workers’ Compensation, Property Insurance, ADA regulations and OSHA regulations are required for this position.
