Role Overview:
A real estate asset investment firm is looking for a Jr. VP, Acquisitions (Jr. VPA) to join their growing Acquisitions Sales team in West Palm Beach, FL. The firm manages over $6B in AUM, acquires over half a billion in assets annually and manages over 5,000 properties across the US. The firm is owned by a larger parent company which has over $60B in assets. The Jr. VPA will work directly with one of the Sr. Partners of the firm, learn the business and increase the firm’s operating income through acquisitions nationally. The Jr. VPA will act in an opener/support role and work along-side the Sr. Partner step-by-step to close deals as a team. This model gives the Jr. VPA a running head start to learn the business and the opportunity to graduate into a full VP, Acquisitions (VPA) role as early as 6-months down the line.
Day to Day:
The goal of the Acquisitions team is to call on Landowners who have existing Telecom/Cell Tower leases on their property, obtain a copy of the lease, work with the internal teams to valuate the lease, pitch an offer to the landowner and bring these leases into the firm’s portfolio. The role entails utilizing the company’s proprietary database stacked with thousands of cold and warm leads ready to be called on. There is a separate team who cleans the data, adds new leads to the database and keeps the pipeline of leads up to date.
The Jr. VPA will act as the opener, conducting outreach to landowners via phone, email, etc. and be the initial point of contact for the transaction. They will later introduce the Sr. Partner to help close the deal. While the Jr. VPA is working along side a Sr. Partner, they will split the commission of these deals. Once they get promoted to a full VPA role, they will earn full commission on the acquisitions they close.
