Job Description

We are hiring a Proofreader (English to French Canadian)

Hybrid opportunity

Hourly pay $22.00 - $25.00

Responsibilities:

• Proof technical automotive tool manuals from English to French Canadian while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and consistency in terminology.
• Ensure that translated content accurately conveys the meaning and intent of the original material.
• Research and verify technical terms and concepts specific to the Automotive Industry to ensure correct translation.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to review and revise translated content as needed.
• Adhere to project deadlines and deliver translated materials in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with project managers and other team members to clarify requirements and address any translation-related issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information throughout the translation process.

Requirements:

• Native-level proficiency in French Canadian with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in English, with a strong understanding of technical automotive terminology and concepts.
• Proven experience in technical translation, particularly within the Automotive Industry.
• Familiarity with translation tools and software (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ) is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and consistency.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Strong research skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
