Living Proof, Inc., a leader in Prestige Hair Care, is looking for a Senior Manager of Regulatory & Product Safety to join our team and lead the development and implementation of safety and regulatory strategies for our cosmetic products. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with global regulations, standards, and best practices, as well as managing the safety and regulatory aspects of new product development, launch, and post-market activities. This position reports to the Vice President of Package Development, Product Safety & Regulatory. The incumbent in this role would be expected to be in the office 3 days a week.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
? Develop and execute safety and regulatory strategies for cosmetic hair products and packaging, including risk assessment, testing, documentation, labeling, claims, and certifications.
? Monitor and interpret global regulatory trends, changes, and requirements, and communicate their impact to internal and external teams.
? Manage the safety and regulatory aspects of product development for launch, and post-market activities, including product registration in US and International markets, notification, reporting. Manage adverse event tracking and reporting for US/UK/EU and China.
? Lead and mentor a safety specialist to grow their expertise and contributions.
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Marketing, Quality, Legal, Package Development, Supply Chain and the Regulatory teams of our sister Prestige companies and our corporate parent.
? Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners such as regulatory authorities, industry associations, testing laboratories, consultants, and customers.
? You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards along with interpreting and guiding the internal teams through risk and implementation strategies.
? Connect on a regular schedule with Customer Service, PD, Packaging on Quality/Regulatory topics, and issues to provide guidance.
? This position will be on-boarding/implementing a new Regulatory software platform that will tie together product development, regulatory and package development.
Requirements
? Bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry, toxicology, pharmacology, or related field
? 5 years of experience in cosmetic safety and regulatory affairs
? In-depth knowledge of global cosmetic regulations, standards, and best practices
? Experience with a product portfolio that has aerosol products would be an asset in this role.
? Strong leadership, communication, project management, and critical thinking skills
? Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multicultural environment.
? A person with a “customer service” mindset where you and your team are geared to provide timely answers and updates to relevant stakeholders.
? Strong data and software management skills- a process improvement guru
