Proof Department Manager manages the day-to-day activities of check encoding and processing operations. Ensures production targets are met with required levels of accuracy. Being a Proof Department Manager reviews errors, exceptions, and resolves process or equipment problems. Completes required audits, reporting and documentation. Additionally, Proof Department Manager oversees training for new hires. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Proof Department Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Proof Department Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     Under the supervision of the Data Manager, the Proof/Mobile Specialist is directly responsible for reviewing, approving, rejecting, and investigating mobile deposits. This position is also responsible for pulling in files and exporting them to the core. The Proof/Mobile Specialist will work closely with branches to ensure all branches have submitted proof work and it balances before leaving.


    Roles and responsibilities:

    • Review all mobile deposits over $250 while following procedures.

    • Answer calls/emails/messages regarding mobile deposits while providing great customer service

    • Maintain positive relationship with retail staff

    • Responsible for bringing in mobile files in a timely manner

    • Exporting imaging to the core

    • Ensure all files are balanced before closing

    • Cross train on other areas when necessary

    • Adheres to department policies and procedures

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Computer Requirements

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

    • Experience using ITI/Director is preferred

    • Teller experience a plus

    Education/Experience Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • General knowledge of bank procedures as they apply to other departments

    • Organizational skills

    • Flexibility as far as changing roles and taking on new responsibilities as needed

    Attendance Requirements:

    Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start work. Employees are expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule. Late arrival, early departure or other absences from scheduled hours should be avoided. This position is typically full-time, Monday through Friday with a Saturday rotation as well as a weekly closing rotation. Shifts may vary to fit the needs of the department.

    Working conditions: This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Physical requirements:

    • Ability to sit for up to eight hours

    • Effectively communicate verbally, in writing, and in English

    • Requires manual dexterity, typing, and the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets
