POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner will coordinate overhaul and preventive maintenance activities with the goal of enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with Maintenance Manager to develop a 3-5-year overhaul plan.
• Coordinate parts, labor and timing with plant and contractors for individual equipment overhauls and rebuild schedules.
• Expand upon the existing preventive maintenance program by identifying areas of opportunity, developing and documenting individual preventive maintenance activities, scheduling the work, auditing program effectiveness, and tracking the rate of completion.
• Standardize preventive maintenance procedures to comply with company standards.
• Work with vendors and purchasing to secure competitive quotes for plant projects and planned work.
• Work with Maintenance Manager and inventory team to establish and maintain parts inventory levels.
• Walk through each job and develop a checklist to ensure completion.
• Utilize 5S tools in the shop area and all parts storage areas.
• Plan and schedule work, ordering required parts.
• Develop and track KPIs for the maintenance department.
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance progress.
• Maintain and update maintenance library of equipment manuals and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 to 5 years of related work experience
• 2 years of college (preferred)
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• High degree of detail accuracy
• Hands-on work style
