The Shell Recycling Program staff is responsible for assisting the program manager in implementing our seasonal Shell Recycling Program. The program is based in Wellfleet and also includes the towns of Eastham and Provincetown. Duties involve picking up shells from participating restaurants using your own vehicle, depositing the shell at the Wellfleet Transfer Station, and returning clean buckets to restaurants. Regular communication with the program manager and other team members is required to effectively run a smooth program and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Essential Functions

• Pick up 5-gallon buckets of shell from participating restaurants in the morning
• Deposit shells at the Wellfleet Transfer Station, clean buckets, and deliver back to restaurants
• Quantify and record the amount of shell collected daily
• Promote and represent the Shell Recycling program with restaurants and the greater Wellfleet Community.

Job Requirements

• Be positive, enthusiastic, and a proficient communicator
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs pounds repeatedly throughout one shift
• Must have reliable transportation that can transport 10 full 5 gallon buckets at one time, preferably a truck. A pick-up truck is not required, but most suitable.

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

• Wellfleet, MA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
