Project Manager Sr. - Construction directs construction project management planning and execution processes to meet project design requirements, schedules, and organizational financial objectives. Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project management throughout the project lifecycle. Being a Project Manager Sr. - Construction uses comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and operations to set project productivity and quality targets. Monitors project milestones, change orders, and technical status reports. Additionally, Project Manager Sr. - Construction manages strategic client relationships and establishes clear lines of communication. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions. Analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Project Manager Sr. - Construction manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Manager Sr. - Construction typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Position Summary:
Project Manager will provide proactive leadership, management & decision making to manage assigned projects and achieve all safety, profit, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction objectives. Project Manager will be responsible to direct, coordinate, plan, organize & control all aspects of the construction process from Client introduction to building completion and turnover.
Essential Functions:- Meet with Clients to develop & fully understand the project scope of work.
- Participate in client meetings with Business Development Team.
- Analyze project, understand risks and develop plan to effectively manage risks.
- Communicate / coordinate project details with design department throughout all phases of construction.
- Effectively prepare & facilitate kickoff documents in preparation for an efficient project start.
- Manage the complete project in accordance with Janotta & Herner policies and specific contract requirements.
- Effectively evaluate and interpret all contract documents.
- Other duties as assigned
- 5 years of commercial construction experience as a Project Manager.
- Four (4) year bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in managing projects with total contract value ranging from $50,000 to $20,000,000.
- Experience with design-build construction a plus.
- Experience with managing self-perform work a plus.
- OHSA 10 / 30 Certification.
- Proficient in the following software programs: MS Office – Emphasis on Excel, MS Project 2019, PDF / Bluebeam, ACAD (Basic knowledge), Online Collaboration Programs (WEBEX, Teams, Etc.)
This role involves working in an office environment generally during the hours of 7:00am-3:30pm. Occasionally, flexibility in working hours will be needed based on events and business needs.About the Company
