Project Manager Sr. - Construction directs construction project management planning and execution processes to meet project design requirements, schedules, and organizational financial objectives. Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project management throughout the project lifecycle. Being a Project Manager Sr. - Construction uses comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and operations to set project productivity and quality targets. Monitors project milestones, change orders, and technical status reports. Additionally, Project Manager Sr. - Construction manages strategic client relationships and establishes clear lines of communication. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions.     What will you be doing?

    Skyline’s Sr. Project Managers oversee complex commercial construction projects. In this role, you will head a team of talented construction professionals to turn your client’s vision into reality. A successful Sr. Project Manager will use their experience and leadership to drive a project to completion- safely and efficiently.


    Our teams use a variety of tools, such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft platforms to keep them on the cutting edge of construction management. Additionally, as a Sr. Project Manager, you will interact with professionals from all levels of the industry and, most importantly, clients.

    As a Sr. Project Manager, you will serve in the following areas:
    • Prepare bids, budgets and respond to formal RFPs.
    • Participate in interviews to secure new work.
    • Lead pricing, value engineering, site selection investigations and building assessments.
    • Develop site logistics plans.
    • Create detailed project schedules in conjunction with superintendents.
    • Serve as the client point of contact.
    • Establishing and maintaining client, subcontractor, and industry relationships.
    • Oversee procurement, cost, and change management during project.
    • Lead weekly project meetings with client and subcontractors.
    • Oversee project closeout process.
    • Manage all aspects of project accounting, financial projections and reporting, and AR collections.


    Desired Traits
    • 10 years of construction project management experience in life sciences projects.
    • Experience including supervising/managing project superintendents and project staff. Leadership experience preferred.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced enviornment.
    • Demonstrated experience in any type of laboratory space renovation including chemistry, biology, vivarium, cGMP manufacturing, electronic labs and clean rooms.
    • Experience managing medium to large, complex and/or multiple jobs at one time.
    • OSHA, LEED and first aid certifications preferred, but not required. 
    • Graduation from an accredited four-year college with major coursework in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field preferred.
    • Development of client relationships, sales/business development for new opportunities.
    • Mentor colleagues and participate in annual staff reviews.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Procore, Timberline, BlueBeam and PlanGrid.
    • Strong project estimating and scheduling skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communicator.

    $130,000 - $175,000 a year

    The starting base pay for this position has a salary range of $130,000.00 to $175,00.00.* The actual salary offer will be carefully considered based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for health, disability, life, dental, vision along with retirement and profit sharing plans.
