Job Overview:
Spartan Construction Group is seeking an ambitious Project Manager to join our team. This candidate will manage the organization and management of assigned projects, subcontractor management, documentation and communication with Project owners and architects.
Responsibilities:
- Thorough pre-construction project review. High level project planning.
-Timely processing of material samples, submittals, coordinating field measurements and subcontractor office staff interface for all long lead items to ensure a smooth and efficient installation period.
-Understanding clients needs and creating a schedule to accomplish installations within giving timeframes.
-Communicating with Project Site Supervisor.
- Assist with documentation collection, organization and distribution.
-Create and Manage RFI's.
-Collecting subcontractor quotes for Bulletins, addendums, change orders in a timely matter and generating Change orders
-Tracking of Job Costs & change order income. Accurate reporting to Finance department for subcontractor scope status and monthly AIA g702/3 processing.
- Prepare and maintain Long Lead Items ETA charting.
- Participate and engage in Owner Architect Contractor Meetings, as well as Contractor Subcontractor meetings.
- Weekly Reporting to Project Executive on assigned projects.
Qualifications:
- 4 year degree in Construction Management or related field
- Strong knowledge of General Contracting processes and procedures.
- Experience with Plan and Spec Construction Installations
- High level ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Previous experience working on K-12, Publicly Owned Facilities, Owner occupied Remodels.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Smartsheets, and Google Suites.
