Project Manager - Construction directs day-to-day construction project management planning and execution processes to meet project design requirements, schedules, and organizational financial objectives. Manages governance of projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project management throughout the project lifecycle. Being a Project Manager - Construction uses comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and operations to set project productivity and quality targets. Monitors all project milestones, changes, and technical status reports. Additionally, Project Manager - Construction manages strategic client and contractor relationships and establishes clear lines of communication. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions. Analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Project Manager - Construction supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Manager - Construction typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     3. Municipal and Government Collaboration:

      • Utilize experience in working with local municipalities, PWSA, and other government agencies to facilitate project approvals and compliance.
      • Foster positive relationships with government stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration.
    4. Bid and Proposal Management:

      • Contribute to the bid process, providing accurate and competitive proposals to secure new projects.
      • Collaborate with estimating teams to ensure bid accuracy and competitiveness.
    5. Resource and Budget Management:

      • Efficiently manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
      • Monitor project budgets, providing accurate forecasting and financial oversight.
    6. Stakeholder Collaboration:

      • Build and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and government agency representatives.
      • Foster effective communication and collaboration to ensure project success.
    7. Quality Assurance and Safety:

      • Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety throughout all project phases.
      • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Heavy Highway Project Manager with a focus on contractor roles in Pennsylvania.
