Project Management Manager manages and directs the work of project managers and provides managerial oversight for multiple projects. Monitors project scopes, costs, schedules, staffing, communications, outside vendors, and contractual deliverables. Being a Project Management Manager develops standards, processes, and tools used for effective project scheduling and to set and manage quality targets. Addresses internal or vendor issues that may impede project delivery and develops solutions. Additionally, Project Management Manager tracks at risk metrics and facilitates actions to keep projects on track. Establishes data collection and reporting processes to capture key metrics of project activities and to provide periodic reporting. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a project management certification. Typically reports to a director. The Project Management Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Overview:

    As a Senior Project Cost Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the project team, overseeing and evaluating project performance in terms of cost and schedule control. Your responsibilities include compiling, verifying, and presenting project cost data to senior management, ensuring adherence to financial principles, and implementing effective cost control processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Generate accurate cost reports using Roche's source data, presenting findings clearly and concisely through various mediums.
    • Provide guidance to junior project controls engineers as needed.
    • Implement and manage the Project Cost Control process and systems in alignment with established procedures.
    • Facilitate transparent communication and present data effectively to leaders.
    • Ensure compliance with Roche's financial accounting laws and principles, including tax and duties.
    • Oversee project controls systems to meet Roche's requirements promptly and with the expected quality.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops for project teams and contractors on controls procedures.
    • Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Work Packages, and project cost reports.
    • Coordinate monthly cost estimates and reviews, and present Monthly Cost Reports and Forecasts accurately.
    • Manage cost control, schedule, and progress control tools efficiently.
    • Reconcile cost data from project cost reports and accounting systems.
    • Produce unbiased cost forecasts at both detailed and summary levels.
    • Monitor cost performance and identify variances from the budget, taking corrective actions as necessary.
    • Perform "what-if" analysis and prepare corrective actions for scheduled programs when required.
    • Implement Integrated Change Management, incorporating changes to scope, schedule, and cost control systems.
    • Provide monthly project cost reports with forecasts and capital expenditure plans.
    • Ensure the availability and auditability of various registers, including bid evaluations, contracts, insurance, warranties, and risk.
    • Support timely project close-out and deliver the Project Data Collection Report.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Education/Experience:

    • Previous experience in Cost Management roles on medium to large Capital Projects (***M-500M USD).
    • Minimum 15 years of experience as a Cost Manager or Senior Project Controls Engineer.
    • Bachelor's or University degree in engineering, economics, or business administration.
    • Professional qualifications such as PMI, RICS, or ACCEi Project Control Professional or equivalent.

    Skills/Competencies:

    • Proficiency in Project Management and Project Controls.
    • Knowledge of CAPEX, Finance, or business administration.
    • Familiarity with SAP R/3, Primavera, MS Office, and Google Suite.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
