Project Management Manager manages and directs the work of project managers and provides managerial oversight for multiple projects. Addresses internal or vendor issues that may impede project delivery and develops solutions. Additionally, Project Management Manager tracks at risk metrics and facilitates actions to keep projects on track.     Position Summary

    With responsibility for Oceaneering's global (Geoscience) project interests, this role will lead the offshore fieldwork and reporting activities for all our existing and emerging Site-Characterisation projects. This is a combined team lead and project management role, inclusive of: coordination of field engineering staff, overall data acquisition project management, client interfacing, and quality control of project deliverables and reporting activities.

    This is an office US based position with a hybrid work schedule remotely and/or another designated geographic area as needed. Ability to travel domestically and international as assigned.



    Duties & Responsibilities

    FUNCTIONS


    Performance delivery responsibilities for you and your team will include, but not be limited to:


    * Coordination and management of projects Contract review, execution, and management, including risk management, budget control, performance review / client feedback and client liaison throughout project lifecycle.
    * Ensuring all financial, contractual, and other obligations are achieved in accordance with agreed terms.
    * You will be joining a team of professionals with expertise in hydrography, geophysics, and geotechnics. A background in these or a related marine geoscience discipline is required.
    * Confidence and the ability to communicate appropriately, working with those involved on our projects internally and externally, are key attributes to bring to this role.
    * The successful candidate will be highly organized and detail oriented, with practical experience in marine Geosciences technical data acquisition practices.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


    * Applies business line, service line and regional objectives, principles and practices in the interpretation, organization, execution, and coordination of projects of any complexity (e.g., multi service line and/or multi-disciplinary and/or international).
    * Oversees Commercial / Resourcing / Performance Management & Quality Control for site characterization projects.
    * For projects of unique character, defines scope, selects areas for investigation and develops novel concepts, in collaboration with technical staff.
    * Establishes, monitors, and controls project budgets, taking corrective action as necessary.
    * Assist Project Managers in preparing and reviews invoices for the projects. Negotiates directly with client to manage project changes, e.g., scope, schedule, or budget adjustments.
    * Prepares monthly project performance reviews for presentation to senior management.
    * Assists with training, employee appraisals and QHSE program as needed.
    * Assists in the development of sales and growth plans.
    * Assists group & corporate management with client maintenance and the development of new clients.
    * Performs project After Action Reviews and Lessons Learned and follow-up with clients to gauge their level of satisfaction.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED


    * Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Geology from accredited engineering university, preferred or equivalent work and management experience.
    * Ten (10) years of Geosciences/Marine-engineering experience performing and leading marine survey activities.
    * Five (5) years' experience of Management of a team or business group.
    * Strong written and oral communications skills.
    * Knowledge of MS Office and PeopleSoft ERP System is a plus.
    * Ability to work with cross-cultural organizations and groups.
    * Must hold/maintain a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel.
    * Entrepreneurial, self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail within a fast paced, dynamic service delivery environment.

    DESIRED


    * PMP Certification or equivalent.
    * Must have or be able to obtain TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
    * Current security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS


    * Sound knowledge of geophysical/geotechnical engineering principles, field-acquisition, processing & interpretation techniques.
    * Strong problem-solving skills with respect to both technical and supervisory issues.
    * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with peers, subordinates, and superiors.
    * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
    * Ability to support and foster support toward the company Quality Management System.
    * Ability to plan, resource and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
    - Proven knowledge/training/experience in marine/survey electro-mechanical systems preferred i.e. analysis, design, installation and maintenance of relevant equipment & products.
    * Valid driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
    * Some travel (domestic, international) may be required.
    * Willing to be available evenings and weekends to respond as needed (via phone and/or email) to offshore project issues that may arise.
    * Ability to obtain a government clearance at the appropriate level if required.

    Additional Information

    This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
