Our client, a large Oil and Gas company, is looking for a Project Manager II in Sinclair, WY.
Contact position with per diem.
Onsite role.
The Project Manager will coordinate and execute multiple Capital and Expense Projects simultaneously, coordinate and execute projects to improve plant safety, environmental compliance, reliability, and profitability, provide plant and facility support for the continued reliable operation of existing equipment and
installation of new equipment.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
• Participate in planning and estimating of current and future projects
• Coordinate internal resources and third party resources, as required, to execute projects
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical
feasibility
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and functional
• Develop a detailed project plan/schedule to track progress
• Monitor project progress, setup, and metrics reporting (e.g. time reporting by various team
members, as well as due dates and project finance metrics)
• Keep detailed project notes and records
• Write project execution plans, scope of work documents, request for quote documents and
other technical documents
• Manage multi-disciplinary project team and conduct timely review meetings
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Report and escalate project progress and issues to management as needed
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Create, maintain, and store project deliverables and documentation on the shared repository
• Follow-through on commitments made to others.
• Create and maintain well-organized and professional-looking work area.
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering or equivalent work experience is preferred, but not
required.
A minimum of 5 years of job-related work experience in the petrochemical or refining industry.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging
environment.
Experience with stage gate process for project development and execution.
Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to work with multiple deadlines under pressure.
Ability to supervise contract engineers and construction crews on a project-by-project basis.
SAP experience not required but would be useful to have.
Compensation: Rate $52.00 - $60.00 hourly DOE
