Position Title:  Construction Project Manager

Location: Minton Capehart Federal Building Indianapolis, IN

Salary Range:  $85,000-$105,000 DOE

Period of Performance: 57.5 months (estimated May, 2024 to March, 2028)

This role is contingent upon award.

Project/Position Overview:

This project will be renovating the existing parking garage at the Minton-Capehart Federal Building. The renovation will include concrete repair and replacement, including any systems that are affected by the concrete work. Such systems include piping, storm drains, fire protection on systems, wiring, etc. Additionally, new Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) to support charging for 46 vehicles will be furnished & installed. The planned project delivery is Design-Build.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Serve as the common point of contact for the team.
• Experience in developing and maintaining complex, long-term, multi-year project management activities including but not limited to:
  • Developing and controlling budgets and funding strategies
  • Scheduling and coordination of project interactions among existing and occupied facilities
  • Managing interdisciplinary teams of professionals and supporting labor categories
  • Integrating competing and/or conflicting elements into the planning and execution processes so that project requirements flow smoothly.
  • Familiarity with Federal and local government office building projects, with procedural requirements, review requirements, and approval requirements

Education, Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management or related field required from an accredited university or in lieu of the degree, the candidate shall have 10 years of management experience in the construction management field.
• Minimum of OSHA 30-hour construction safety training 
• Knowledge and experience with construction practices including applicable building codes, applicable safety regulations.
• Knowledge and experience in standard site-built construction, new electrical service installation and construction practices including industry standards, regulations or codes, cost breakdown, estimating and negotiating, and technical writing.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, schedules, and other specifications.
• Written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
• Knowledge of software including Kahua, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Primavera or equivalent scheduling software, review submittals, RFI's, and transmission of digital progress photos.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
