The Engineering Project Manager role is designed to focus on managing Engineering development programs. The position will manage development programs across CNMS.NPA in the following areas: Military Systems, Stores Management and Reference Products projects.
Responsibilities:
Manage CNMS.NPA projects. Provide project management and technical expertise.
Interact with internal and external stakeholders and customers to understand project objectives and required technologies.
Interact with customers as part of program execution, define and shape requirements.
Discern the voice of the customer and provide this perspective to internal organizations.
Collaborate with GE businesses outside of Avionics to provide an integrated “One GE” approach to vehicle systems offerings.
Foster a collaborative and innovative environment to maximize success of development teams and the business.
Apply Systems Engineering expertise and methodology to technical challenges and development programs.
Conduct and participate in trade studies to identify optimal solutions.
Mentor and develop engineering talent and capability within the organization.
Support the business team developing new business and generating winning proposals while meeting company objectives and protecting company interests.
Collaborate with the engineering and business teams on program execution, technology maturation, pursuits.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience in the development and specification of Civil and/or Military avionics systems.
Knowledge of aircraft computing, networking, navigation, and general avionics systems.
Knowledge and experience architecting complex avionics systems and software.
Experience in early customer product interactions and stakeholder requirements development.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Aviation, or Aerospace from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 10 years of technical and project leadership experience in the aviation industry in any of the following areas: avionics system development, product design, leading and managing technical teams and executing new technology introduction programs.
