Eustis Engineering is looking for an Assistant Project Engineer for Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Gulfport, Mississippi, offices.
SUMMARY: As an entry level professional, our Assistant Project Engineer coordinates project requirements with client representatives then continues coordination of site access with field crews, assigns laboratory tests, and performs geotechnical engineering analyses and evaluations. An Assistant Project Engineer will provide supplemental support for the Drilling and Laboratory Departments as well as other Engineering Department positions (such as Engineering Technician and Draftsperson) including operation and maintenance of Cone Penetrometer equipment, processing of Cone Penetrometer Test data, and performance of Pile Dynamic Testing. The Assistant Project Engineer will also be involved in the companys geotechnical instrumentation and remote sensing programs and will also assist others in development and management of the company's GIS and geologic mapping resources.
Involvement with construction phase projects may also include construction materials testing and/or special inspections of soils, concrete, masonry, and deep foundations. Other duties may be assigned. Field assignments are primarily in the State of Mississippi with some out-of-state assignments. Assignments may require overtime, weekend, and out-of-town work. The Assistant Project Engineer must have an appropriate motor vehicle operational license for employment.
The Assistant Project Engineer will be expected to cycle through periods of engineering training and learning at our Metairie, Louisiana, office within the first 6 to 12 months of employment.
