Engineering Program Manager

  • We are seeking an Engineering Program Manager who would be responsible for supporting the product development of key technologies and systems to be incorporated in WiTricity’s Wireless Charging Electric Vehicle products. This role provides program management for wireless charging systems and products for the automotive market. The core program work involves managing innovation and development of cutting-edge systems, incorporating both hardware and software elements.  The position will be based out of our Mägenwil office in Switzerland.

    Responsibilities:
    • Develop and maintain project plans while driving closure on issues and gaps.
    • Work closely with a cross-functional engineering team consisting of Software, Electrical, and Mechanical engineers to understand the technical concepts, architecture, systems, and development methods associated with the defined projects. You will then apply that knowledge to deliverables and leverage it to accelerate project completion.
    • Ability to collaborate and lead full breadth of development cycle, from initial ideation and research through productization and mass production.
    • Partner with international development teams to support research projects, with portions of development happening across our various office locations.
    • Interpret early customer and regulatory requirements during preliminary system design, and be able to synthesize and communicate the details of projects across team and company leadership as we work towards incorporation into our product portfolio.
    • Recommend and implement risk mitigation plans while maintaining high quality. Assess risk in programs and recommend solutions to a range of difficult problems.
    • Organize program review meetings with local and executive management to review execution strategy and project status.
    Requirements:
    • BSc or MSc in an engineering discipline with 5 years of experience in program management within a product development team.
    • Experience delivering products or systems comprised of software, electrical, and mechanical elements.
    • Experience working with research teams early in development, helping develop concepts, and usher ideas from early stages into readiness for full product development.
    • Demonstrated ability to track deliverables and dependencies; Identify and report progress, issues, risks, and cost.
    • Experience tracking development of research projects through to productization a plus.
    • Must have an execution orientation and exceptional attention to detail.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including interactions with remote teams.
    • Ability to influence and bring technical recommendations or requirements across teams in other disciplines and geographic locations.
    • PMP certification and Agile experience preferred.
    • Automotive/Electric Vehicle experience a plus.
