Project Engineer performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Provides technical support for the engineering process and contributes to the completion of a project. Being a Project Engineer analyzes project requirements and performs standard technical calculations. Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems. Additionally, Project Engineer requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Project Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Requires Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or closely-related field & 2 yrs experience working on engineering projects delivered through design-bid-build and/or design-build methods; working with federal & state bridge design standards, including AASHTO LRFD standards; developing design drawings; designing bridge components, including concrete superstructures & substructures; performing bridge load ratings; developing construction staging analysis; and using LEAP Bridge, CSiBridge, BridgeLink, LPILE, spColumn, VBA, AutoCad and/or MicroStation software packages.
