Being a Project Controls Manager creates standard methods for project estimating, procurement, accounting, work breakdown structure, contract management, reporting, and other project-related processes. Ensures controls address cost or budget considerations, scope changes, supplier performance, and other risk levels. Additionally, Project Controls Manager provides guidance and consultation to project managers. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Project Controls Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Director, Site Strategy and Development
Location: Waltham, MA
This key role reports to the Head of Site Operations, Boston R&D and partners with the wider Leadership team to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of the teams’ objectives and vision, by establishing a strategy and roadmap that translates goals into tactical plans, strengthening the culture of the organization while driving growth through digital excellence and data-driven innovation. This role must be able to effectively navigate multiple diverse stakeholders, think strategically about key issues affecting R&D Operations, as well as demonstrate organizational savvy in dealing with senior executives and understanding how to get things done. Critically, this role requires a high degree of influencing skills and independent thinking. The Director, Business Planning and Operations will coordinate the budget activities for the department ensuring MTP/LTP timelines are met.
