The Climate Justice and Resilience Organizer would also contribute to our Make Polluters Pay campaign, which targets the corporations who have contributed to the most to causing climate change and pushes government officials to hold these corporations financially accountable for the costs of damages including health impacts and infrastructure. The Climate Justice and Resilience Organizer would work with the CREW (Communities Responding to Extreme Weather) program to conduct community outreach and education on the impacts of extreme weather and support our Climate Resilience Hub program.

    About Better Future Project

Conduct community outreach and education efforts such as tabling, and workshops and presentations with community partners on issues such as how to prepare for extreme heat and flooding.

Participate as part of the Make Polluters Pay campaign team, with a focus on building partnerships with organizations in areas highly impacted by climate change, and recruiting individuals to join the campaign.
Work with BFP staff, campaign volunteers, and partners to design and execute strategic campaign tactics that build public support and apply pressure to our targets.

Support campaign activities such as conducting public outreach, creating media and storytelling about the impacts of climate change, the culpability of the fossil fuel industry, and the need for investments in resilient infrastructure.

Conduct “envisioning sessions” with communities highly impacted by climate change to develop their vision for what their community needs to adapt to extreme weather.
